Laura Washington makes The Hollywood Reporter’s 25th edition Next Generation list.

Century City partner Laura Washington is among the select entertainment industry professionals featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s 25th edition of its famed Next Generation list. Published intermittently and long-considered an important barometer of rising talent, the Next Gen list features 35 executives under age 35 who are expected to be “running Hollywood in a few years.” Past honorees include WME co-CEO Ari Emmanuel, Universal Picture’s Chairperson Donna Langley, CAA President Richard Lovett, and CBS COO and Showtime Chairman David Nevins. The Next Gen list includes entertainment agents, managers, television and film executives, and lawyers. Washington was one of only five lawyers named to the 25th edition list.

In her published profile, Washington was cited for high-profile work in her legal practice, and she shared how she “grew up in the courtroom” alongside her father, a defense attorney. Washington represents clients in a range of intellectual property and complex business disputes, with experience that includes both trial and appellate work. In addition to her litigation practice, She requently consults on Entertainment, Sports & Media transactional matters, with a view to limiting clients’ potential litigation or exposure. Her practice reflects her membership in the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Entertainment, Sports & Media practices.
