Gwyn Williams honored for her contributions to the legal profession and serving as a role model for young women entering law.

Gwyn Williams, Global Co-Chair of Latham’s Product Liability, Mass Torts, and Consumer Class Actions Practice and a partner in Latham’s Boston office, has been recognized as one of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2018 Top Women of Law. The award honors “individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession while also serving as role models for young women entering the law.”

As a Litigation & Trial partner and firm leader in Latham’s Boston office, Williams has developed an extensive practice defending product liability and consumer class action claims for Fortune 100 clients. In addition, as Global Chair of Latham’s Product Liability, Mass Torts and Consumer Class Actions Practice, Williams guides the direction and advancement of the practice. She plays a key role in developing the group’s business strategy, communicating their capabilities and experience both within Latham as well as to clients and the broader business and legal community. Williams is also as a member of the global steering group for the firm’s Women Enriching Business Committee, whose mission includes promoting and supporting the professional success of women in the legal industry.

Latham opened its Boston office in 2011, and, in October 2012, Williams, along with two of her partners at her prior firm, came to start its litigation department. Now, the firm’s Boston office has a sizable group of more than 65 lawyers, and the vibrant and growing litigation group has more than 20 lawyers practicing in the areas of white collar defense and investigations, complex commercial, products liability and consumer class actions, intellectual property, and tax controversy litigation.
