Latham & Watkins’ Los Angeles office was honored with the “Exemplary Corporate Citizenship” award at the 17th annual Gala for the Children hosted by A Place Called Home. The firm was acknowledged for providing over $1.25 million of pro bono legal advice, which has enabled the community organization to help inner-city youth pursue higher education, economic independence, and vocational opportunities. The firm and its partners helped raise more than $1.1 million through the Gala event to underwrite the organization’s College Pathways Program, Arts & Creative Expressions Department, and Social Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Program.

Los Angeles partner Peter Gilhuly accepted the award on behalf of the firm. “We are proud to work alongside A Place Called Home and support their efforts in making a positive difference in the lives of youths in the South Central LA community,” said Gilhuly.
