Equal Justice Works
Latham recognized for its compassion and commitment to achieving equal justice.

Equal Justice Works seeks to create a just society by mobilizing the next generation of lawyers committed to equal justice. For nearly 20 years, Latham has sponsored public interest fellowships through Equal Justice Works. The fellowships address the shortage of lawyers working on behalf of traditionally underserved populations by providing financial and technical support to the fellows as they meet the most pressing needs in their communities.

Washington, D.C. partner Jennifer Archie, who accepted the award on the firm’s behalf, noted, “Through our support of Equal Justice Works, we take great pride in launching new lawyers who want to pursue public interest law careers. We are also proud to have offered pro bono support to this laudable organization for more than 10 years, through which Latham has been able to provide legal services to veterans, seniors who are mistreated, victims of crime, and unaccompanied immigrant children facing deportation, among many others in the community.”
