Two Partners Named Energy & Environmental Trailblazers

The National Law Journal (NLJ) has named Washington, D.C. partner Tommy Beaudreau and Los Angeles partner Jeff Greenberg to its third annual “Energy & Environmental Trailblazers” report, which features lawyers who have “shown a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission, having achieved remarkable successes along the way,” according to the NLJ. 

Beaudreau recently joined the firm with several former Obama Administration officials after they completed public service in high-ranking federal government positions. He was recognized by the NLJ for his role in advancing reforms related to offshore oil and gas projects and the creation of a new federal agency he led, the Bureau of Offshore Energy Management, as well as a range of other achievements in government and private practice. In his published profile, Beaudreau spoke of “finding the balance of the need for reliable energy production but also being mindful of the potential effects of that development.” Beaudreau is a member of the firm’s market-leading Environment, Land & Resources Department. 

Greenberg, a veteran member of the firm’s Project Development & Finance Practice and the Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Los Angeles offices, was honored by the NLJ for his ongoing work advising sponsors and lenders who are building, buying or financing crucial power plant projects. Such development is increasingly focused on renewable power, Greenberg explained in his published profile. “With the increased use of renewables, we continue to see a world where markets will continue to need to evolve as the generation side of the power industry continues to change,” he said.
