Boston Partner Receives “40 under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” Award
The National Bar Association (NBA), the oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges in the United States, selected Boston partner William “BJ” Trach for its “40 under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” award. Trach was recognized as a lawyer “who exemplify[ies] a broad range of high achievement in the legal field, including in advocacy, innovation, vision, leadership and overall legal and community involvement.” He was honored at the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Awards Gala during the NBA’s 91st Annual Convention in St. Louis, Missouri.
Trach is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department and White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice and currently serves as Vice Chair of Latham’s Diversity Leadership Committee, helping guide the firm’s efforts to promote diversity in the legal profession. In addition, Trach devotes significant time to pro bono matters, to civic affairs and to mentoring young lawyers. In 2012, he was appointed by the governor to the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission, the independent agency responsible for enforcing the state’s conflict of interest laws.
