Latham recognized for its role in landmark M&A and capital markets deals at the Southeast Asia Law Awards.

Latham & Watkins was recognized for its key role in several award-winning matters at Asian Legal Business’ 2016 Southeast Asia Law Awards. These efforts included advising Singapore’s Avago Technologies in its $37 billion acquisition of US-based Broadcom Corporation — a milestone transaction that was honored as “Deal of the Year” and “M&A Deal of the Year (Premium).” The transaction marks the largest semiconductor acquisition in history. Latham also advised Singapore-based semiconductor manufacturer STATS ChipPac on a complex bank and bond financing that was named “Asset and Corporate Finance Deal of the Year.”

Held annually, Asian Legal Business’ Southeast Asia Law Awards honors “the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams that have significantly contributed to the evolving legal landscape of the region,” according to the publication. The winning matters were selected based on complexity, innovation, breadth and impact, among other factors.
