Latham Honored for Commitment to Pro Bono Legal Services

Charles J. O'Laughlin Memorial Award presented to firm.

The Chicago Legal Clinic presented Latham & Watkins with the Charles J. O’Laughlin Memorial Award, recognizing the firm’s outstanding commitment to making legal services available to those most in need. Chicago partner Michael Faris accepted the award on the firm’s behalf at a banquet celebrating the Chicago Legal Clinic’s 35th anniversary. The O’Laughlin award was one of only three awards given at the banquet, and was presented by Honorable William J. Bauer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  

The mission of the Chicago Legal Clinic is to identify legal needs and provide community based quality legal services and education to the underserved and disadvantaged in the Chicago area, thereby promoting justice through greater access to the legal system. Founded in 1981, the Clinic is a premier provider of legal services to the poor and working poor.
