June 22, 2015

Two firm associates are among 50 international lawyers recognized as rising stars for their work in Latin America.

Latinvex has named two Latham & Watkins associates to its list of “Latin America’s Rising Legal Stars.” Paola Agrati and Liliana Párias Neuburg, both Latin America Practice associates in the firm’s New York office, are among the 50 lawyers—25 partners, 21 associates and four counsel—singled out as rising stars at international law firms doing business in Latin America. Criteria for selection is based on scope and prominence of work and future potential.

Agrati, a member of Latham’s Banking and Project Finance Practices, represents sponsors as well as commercial and investment banks, investment firms and other financial institutions in connection with the development, construction and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, both in the US and abroad.

Párias Neuburg, a member of Latham’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, represents private companies, including private equity firms and strategic investors, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, cross-border transactions and other general corporate matters. She has represented numerous private equity firms in transactions involving US and non-US companies across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, banking, gaming and energy.

This is the second time in 2015 Latinvex has honored lawyers in the firm’s Latin America Practice. Earlier this year, partners Roderick Branch, Christopher Cross, Tony Del Pino and Fernando Mantilla-Serrano were named to Latinvex’s “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers” list.
