Two Litigation Partners Named to “Outstanding Women Lawyers” List

May 13, 2015
The National Law Journal
Alice Fisher and Kathy Ruemmler cited as being among the most accomplished women lawyers in the United States.

The National Law Journal selected partners Alice Fisher and Kathy Ruemmler for its inaugural list of the nation’s “most accomplished female attorneys working in the legal profession today representing excellence in private practice, corporate counsel work, public interest law, legal education and the judiciary.”

Both partners were acknowledged for bringing distinctive public sector experience to their practices. The National Law Journal wrote that Fisher — who previously served as Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice — “applies a sure and successful hand to corporate criminal investigations and complex enforcement matters.” Fisher was also recognized for making “mentoring young attorneys a priority” in her role as Managing Partner of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. The National Law Journal noted Ruemmler’s talents and tenure as Counsel to the President, and reported she is focusing on “growing Latham’s practice” as global Co-chair of Latham & Watkins’ White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice, spending time in both D.C. and New York.
