May 18, 2015
Global Investigations Review
Supplement highlights remarkable women in a competitive and notoriously challenging area of law.

Global Investigations Review profiled Alice Fisher, a litigation partner and Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office, and Maria Barton, a litigation partner in the New York office, in its inaugural “Women in Investigations” report featuring influential women practitioners from around the world. The publication “searched near and far” to select a diverse range of honorees, including “lawyers, government prosecutors, barristers, forensic accountants and various in-house counsel, all of whom can serve as inspirations to current and future generations of investigations professionals.” Fisher said, “We’re fortunate in Washington, D.C. to have incredible capabilities here — bet-the-company litigation strength, regulatory insights and powerhouse corporate capabilities all backed by industry know-how and a client-first approach.” Barton acknowledged various career highlights, including “being a federal prosecutor in Manhattan; working on independent, international committees led by Paul Volcker; and now working with high-quality lawyers at Latham,” including a deep bench of talented litigators in New York, across the United States and globally.
