Survey of corporate counsel and executives by BTI Consulting taps “Client Service All-Stars.”

Latham & Watkins partners Rick Bress and Tony Richmond have been recognized for client service excellence in an annual survey of US corporate leaders conducted by BTI Consulting Group. The “BTI Client Service All-Stars 2015” report is based on input from corporate counsel and executives at Fortune 1000 companies and leading financial institutions. According to BTI Consulting, the designation bestows “recognition from leading General Counsel and legal decision makers for outperforming all other attorneys. It is a true achievement to earn this level of praise from influential clients.”

Bress, a Washington, D.C.-based partner in the firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice Group, has argued scores of appellate cases, including eight in the Supreme Court of the United States, and he is a frequent commentator on appellate advocacy issues. Before joining Latham, Bress served as an Assistant to the Solicitor General of the United States. During his tenure, he argued several cases before the Supreme Court, drafted more than 100 briefs (including petitions for and briefs in opposition to certiorari), and assisted the Solicitor General in developing the government's position on a broad range of constitutional and commercial issues in the Supreme Court and the federal courts of appeals.

Richmond, a corporate partner based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, has significant experience in finance and securities matters involving public and private companies, as well as in mergers and acquisitions, tender offers and leveraged recapitalizations. He regularly represents private equity investors in a variety of assignments and acts as outside general counsel for several public companies, including industry-leading airlines and technology companies.
