Firm Receives Prestigious 2014 “Gold Standard Certification” From WILEF

For the fourth year in a row, Latham & Watkins has been named a gold standard certified firm by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). Through its certification program, WILEF recognizes law firms that have integrated women into its highest leadership positions. The organization serves as a national educational and networking platform for women lawyers in private practice and in-house legal departments. 

WILEF’s certification program — which emphasizes leadership roles achieved by women partners — requires candidates to successfully demonstrate “that women represent a meaningful percentage of their equity partners, of their highest leadership positions, of their governance and compensation committees,” among other benchmarks. Latham is among 45 firms that received 2014 gold standard certification. Notably, it has been honored every year since the certification initiative was launched in 2011.
