Three Latham & Watkins Partners Named Among “Top 100 Attorneys in California”
Three Latham & Watkins partners in California – Peter M. Gilhuly, Paul N. Singarella and Daniel M. Wall – have been selected among the Top 100 attorneys in the state for 2011 by the Daily Journal for their work on notable bankruptcy, environmental and antitrust matters.
Gilhuly, a finance partner in Los Angeles who manages the firm’s west coast insolvency practice, was recognized for his bankruptcy counsel across industry sectors, particularly as the attorney that law firms such as Howrey LLP have turned to when facing strategic and financial challenges.
Singarella, a partner and local chair of the Environment, Land and Resources Department in Orange County, was cited for his work in the field of water resources. He was recognized for his counsel in the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s efforts to ensure clean water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta for millions of California residents, as well as for his representation of the ocean water desalination industry in pursuing federal Clean Water Act permits for facilities in Southern California.
Wall, a litigation partner in San Francisco, was acknowledged for being at the forefront of high-profile cases in the antitrust and competition arena, such as the current litigation between technology titans Oracle and HP and class action litigation involving Apple’s iPhone. In the coverage, the General Counsel of Apple Inc. called Wall “one of the top antitrust and competition lawyers in the country right now.”
