Responding to the Crisis in Afghanistan

Drawing on the strength of our 2022 summer associate class and our longstanding immigration practice, we undertook a large-scale pro bono project with Human Rights First to help Afghan clients secure a path to US citizenship. More than 500 Latham lawyers and professional staff — including our entire summer associate class of 304 law students — contributed to this effort. All told, we donated nearly 7,000 hours in free legal services over the course of 10 weeks.
