Matt Dixon is a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Dixon’s practice reflects a range of transactional experience, in both US and cross-border deals, including:
- Public and private mergers and acquisitions
- Corporate reorganizations and restructurings
- Joint ventures and minority investments
- Shareholder activism and takeover defense counseling
- Corporate governance
Mr. Dixon is also active in the firm’s pro bono program, serving as a member of the Pro Bono Committee, guardian ad litem in family law matters, and counseling non-profits and startups in basic formation and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Dixon graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School where he served as a contributing editor for the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dixon clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois and served at the Loyola Business Law Clinic as a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Dixon was a corps member with Teach For America in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
