Katy Sanders is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Financial Institutions Industry Group. Ms Sanders’ practice covers a broad range of financial services regulation, with experience in advising a range of financial institutions in relation to all aspects of their regulatory and compliance obligations including in relation to issues such as market conduct and culture. Previously, Ms Sanders spent 6 years working at the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, and its predecessor the Financial Services Authority. While there, Ms Sanders worked within Enforcement as a forensic investigator and case lawyer advising Enforcement investigation teams on a number of high profile investigations.

 

Ms. Sanders’ recent experience includes advising:

  • Two leading investment managers on internal investigations relating to potential market misconduct*
  • Various clients on their obligations under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime and the Market Abuse Regulation*
  • A number of FCA Enforcement investigation teams in relation to a variety of contentious enforcement actions, involving both firms and individuals*
