Kalana Kariyawasam is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.
Mr. Kariyawasam represents clients in all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal. He has handled a wide variety of civil matters — including securities, antitrust, contract, and intellectual property disputes — in federal and state courts throughout the United States.
Mr. Kariyawasam maintains a vibrant pro bono practice, in which he represents individuals and organizations in matters related to mass incarceration, LGBTQ+ rights, and domestic violence.
Mr. Kariyawasam graduated from Harvard Law School, cum laude, where he served as an executive editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender.
