Joseph D’Amato is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial Department. 

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. D'Amato was a law clerk for Judge Kari A. Dooley of the US District Court for the District of Connecticut.

While attending the University of Alabama School of Law, Mr. D’Amato was a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review, in which he published “Interpreting the First Amendment and Suppressing Political Minorities.” During law school, he was an extern at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition and an intern for Judge Madeline H. Haikala of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
