Joseph Curran is an associate in the Boston office of Latham & Watkins. He is a member of the firm’s Tax Department.

Mr. Curran’s practice focuses on US federal income taxation of corporations, s-corporations, and partnerships, including the tax consequences of taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings. Mr. Curran has experience advising emerging companies, private equity firms, portfolio companies, and tax-exempt organizations. He also regularly advises issuers and underwriters in public and private equity and debt offerings.

Mr. Curran received the Nelson T. Hartson Memorial Award for scholastic achievement in tax law at Georgetown University Law Center. While attending law school, he presented at the EUCOTAX Wintercourse on international taxation.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Curran worked in the Boston office of another global law firm.
