Dr. Jörn Kassow is a counsel in the Environment, Land & Resources Department of the Hamburg office. He advises companies as well as public authorities in the areas of public law. His practice focuses on planning, licensing and environmental law. Moreover, Mr. Kassow advises on state aid and public procurement law as well as telecommunication law matters.

Mr. Kassow has particularly extensive experience in planning and legal approval issues and has on several occasions dealt with the legal support for various major projects, such as:

  • Shopping centers
  • Energy sector projects (e.g. power plants, wind and solar parks, expansion of power grids)
  • Large scale leisure and tourism projects

Apart from that, Mr. Kassow advises clients in environmental matters that arise, for example, in connection with project developments and transactions. His expertise includes - amongst others - the following areas:

  • Waste legislation
  • Soil conservation law
  • Immission control law
  • Water law

Mr. Kassow is a certified specialist lawyer for administrative law. He has experience in all instances of administrative court jurisdiction. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Kassow is a regular author of articles and judgment reviews on public law matters.
