Emily Halter is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.

Prior to joining the firm full-time, Ms. Halter was a summer associate in the Chicago office. During her 3L year, Ms. Halter participated in the Center on Wrongful Convictions. She continued her work on wrongful convictions cases as a Public Interest Law Initiative fellow during the summer of 2018.

While in law school, Ms. Halter served as managing production editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, member of the Barlit Center National Trial Team, and intern for the Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers (CLAIM) program at Cabrini Green Legal Aid.
