Dan Treloar is an associate in Latham & Watkins' London office. His practice focuses on UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring and general corporate representation.

Prior to joining Latham in 2012, Mr Treloar was an associate in the corporate department of a major UK law firm and spent seven months on secondment to a major listed UK bank's Corporate and M&A legal team, advising on various corporate and commercial matters.

Mr. Treloar's representative transactions include advising:

  • Meda AB on its disposal of Euromed SA, a leading European manufacturer of herbal extracts and natural active substances, to The Riverside Company
  • Globe Specialty Metals in its US$3.1 billion merger of equals with Grupo FerroAtlantica under a new company, Ferroglobe PLC
  • Findus on the £500 million disposal of its European foods business to Nomad Foods Limited
  • KKR & Co. L.P. on its US$2.5 billion disposal to 3M of Capital Safety Group, a leading provider of safety products and equipment for construction and other workers
  • RPC Group Plc on its €386 million acquisition of Promens Group AS, leading European plastics manufacturer, from its Icelandic owners
  • ALMC hf on its €310 million disposal of its interest in P4 Sp. z.o o., a mobile network operator in Poland, and its indirect interest in CCP hf, a developer of online games
  • Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Inc. in connection several hotel disposals including the flagship Le Méridien Etoile in Paris for €300 million
  • RPC Group Plc on its £103.5 million acquisition of M&H Plastics Ltd, a manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging
  • Heimerle + Meule, a subsidiary of L. Possehl & Co. on its acquisition of Cookson Precious Metals Ltd, a leading European supplier in the precious metals industry, from Vesuvius plc
  • Major Eastern European conglomerate on its acquisition of a Ukrainian natural resources business
  • A FTSE 100 company on the US$60 million acquisition by its listed African subsidiary of a majority stake in a leading Tanzanian brewer and beverage distributor*
  • A leading international accountancy firm on the disposal of a majority stake in its regulated UK investment and asset management business to a private equity investor*
  • A real estate-focused private equity firm on its acquisition of a property investment company by way of takeover offer, including a compulsory acquisition of minority interests*
  • A major UK bank on its £154 million disposal of a subsidiary carrying out contract hire, commercial rental and maintenance services*
  • An AIM-listed company in relation to a recommended takeover offer by a consortium of management and private equity investors*
