Daniel Cote is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Cote advises private fund sponsors, investors, and joint venture participants in formation and structuring of, investment in, and operation of, private investment funds.

Mr. Cote represents private fund sponsors, investors, and joint venture participants on a range of domestic and cross-border private investment fund matters.

His practice work includes:

  • Formation and structuring of private equity investment funds
  • Negotiation of investment terms on both sponsor and investor side
  • Day-to-day operations throughout the life of private equity investment funds
  • SPAC transactions

Mr. Cote brings particular experience in raising large funds for private fund sponsors.

Mr. Cote maintains an active pro bono practice, advising nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations on licensing applications and related compliance in respect of medical equipment and services.
