Latham & Watkins Advises David’s Bridal in its Acquisition by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice

Firm advises on $1.05 billion acquisition of leading specialty retailer

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has announced a definitive agreement to acquire David’s Bridal, Inc., the leading specialty retailer of bridal gown and wedding-related apparel and accessories in North America. Leonard Green & Partners will continue as a minority partner. The transaction values the company at approximately $1.05 billion. Latham & Watkins is advising the company in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partner Howard Sobel and Los Angeles partner Jason Silvera with Los Angeles associates Jordan Miller, Erik Vayntrub, Paul Chan and Hayley Hunt Hedges. Advice was also provided by New York finance partner Joshua Tinkelman and Los Angeles partner Mark Stegemoeller; New York environment, land and resources counsel David Langer; New York benefits and compensation partner Bradd Williamson with associates Austin Ozawa and Hayley Moore; New York real estate counsel Betsy Mukamal; New York intellectual property partner Jeffrey Tochner with associates Alexandra Schwartz and Gabrielle Russell; Chicago tax partner Joseph Kronsnoble with associate Todd Okesson.
