Seven Latham Partners Honored for Superior Client Service

Survey of corporate counsel by BTI Consulting Group recognizes Client Service All-Stars.

Based on its annual survey of corporate counsel and executives, the BTI Consulting Group has honored seven Latham & Watkins partners as 2018 Client Service All-Stars, including James Brandt, Thomas Brandt, David Callahan, George Davis, Michael Dillard, Patrick Nevins, and Stephen Szalkowski. 

The list recognizes “client-savvy attorneys [who] stand out for delivering the best client experience” by applying traits such as exceptional legal skills, value, business understanding, and innovation, according to BTI Consulting.

The Latham honorees are:

James Brandt, a New York partner and Chair of the office’s Litigation & Trial Department, whose practice focuses extensively on complex litigation involving financial matters, particularly securities and corporate transactions and insolvency matters, including litigation in bankruptcy court and commercial matters.

Thomas Brandt, a corporate partner in the Houston office, who primarily advises on matters in the oil and gas industry, including M&A transactions, joint ventures, private equity investments, and securities offerings, particularly public offerings by master limited partnerships.

David Callahan, a Chicago partner and Global Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, who is a seasoned trial lawyer focusing on complex litigation in the areas of patent, trademark, trade secret, false advertising, and unfair competition.

George Davis, a New York partner and Global C-Chair of the Restructuring, Insolvency & Workouts Practice, who represents public and private companies, creditors, and investors in a broad range of restructuring matters, including chapter 11 cases, cross-border insolvency matters, out-of-court restructurings, and bankruptcy-related acquisitions and financings.

Michael Dillard, a Houston partner and Global Co-Chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, whose practice encompasses all aspects of corporate and securities law, with special emphasis on M&A transactions and securities offerings for companies in the energy industry.

Patrick Nevins, a finance partner in the Washington, D.C. office, who advises leading energy companies in the development of major infrastructure projects, administrative litigation, and high-stakes regulatory matters.

Stephen Szalkowski, a corporate partner in the Houston office, who focuses his practice on domestic energy transactions with an emphasis on M&A and joint ventures in the upstream and midstream sectors of the oil and gas industry.
