Latham Advises on £185 Million Placing by Assura plc

April 9, 2020
London corporate team represents bookrunners in placing by leading primary care property investor and developer.

Latham & Watkins advised the bookrunners in Assura plc’s (Assura) £185 million placing, representing approximately 10% of its existing issued share capital.

Assura is a leading primary care property investor and developer. The placing will allow Assura to continue to deliver purpose built, modern, medical centres to support local communicates, while maintaining the strong balance sheet that enables it to be a long-term partner for the NHS.

The placing is the second placing that the London Equity Capital Markets team has advised on recently, following its role advising the joint bookrunners on a £200m placing by Hays plc.

Latham represented the joint bookrunners, Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited and J.P. Morgan Securities plc, in the placing. The team was led by London corporate partner Chris Horton with associate Anna Ngo.  US securities law advice was provided by London corporate partner Ryan Benedict and associates Jennifer Gascoyne and Johan Dagergard.
