Chicago Office Sponsors Do the Write Thing Challenge

15th annual city-wide essay contest for middle school students.

June 26, 2013

Latham & Watkins is a proud sponsor of the 15th annual Chicago Do the Write Thing city-wide essay contest for middle school students. Latham partner Robin Hulshizer serves as Co-Chair of the Board, and many of the Chicago office personnel serve as board members and volunteers. The 2013 challenge received more than 1,000 essays by middle school children from approximately 30 inner-city schools. The Do the Write Thing challenge encourages young people to write about how violence impacts their lives and communities and invites them to suggest solutions to address youth violence.
