Latham & Watkins recently hosted its seventh annual Women’s Leadership Academy. The annual academy — jointly run by the firm’s Diversity Leadership, Women Enriching Business, and Training & Career Enhancement Committees — offers tailored professional development programming for senior associates. Panels and discussions cover self-advocacy, brand-building, communication skills, cross-selling, business development, and resilience, among other topics, and networking events facilitate mentoring and community-building. Participants leave the academy with strategic action plans, strong connections and friendships, and a deeper understanding of the firm’s commitment to the retention and promotion of its women lawyers. The academy was founded in 2013.
