Stewart Robinson is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ London office, and is a member of the firm’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice.

Mr. Robinson works exclusively in the sports, media, and entertainment space, advising a full spectrum of corporates, investors, financiers, private equity firms, sports governing bodies, sports teams, studios, broadcasters, digital platforms, and other media companies on their premium corporate and commercial transactions. Mr. Robinson regularly advises on M&A and investments, strategic joint ventures, sponsorship and media rights arrangements, media regulatory advice, and all other core ESM commercial deals.

Mr. Robinson currently serves on the firm's Recruiting Committee.

  • Manchester United on its agreement with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the Chairman of INEOS, under which he will acquire a minority shareholding in the club
  • Dynasty Equity, a global sports investment firm, on its strategic minority investment in Liverpool F.C.
  • The consortium led by Todd Boehly, chairman and CEO of Eldridge, and Clearlake Capital Group, on its acquisition of Chelsea Football Club
  • Silver Lake on its investments in:
    • the New Zealand All Blacks, the world’s most iconic rugby brand
    • the Ambassador Theatre Group
    • the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), which operates the A-League and other leagues
  • IMG on the acquisition of the Madrid Open tennis tournament and the Acciona Open de España golf tournament
  • DAZN, the global sports entertainment platform, in its attempt to acquire BT Sport
  • Netflix on the acquisition of Millarworld, the comic book company founded by Mark Millar, creator of a number of iconic characters and stories including Kick-Ass, Kingsman, and Old Man Logan, representing the first ever acquisition by Netflix
  • Joint venture between TWG Global, Billie Jean King Enterprises, and the International Tennis Federation, for the creation of the Billie Jean King Cup
  • Cohen Media Group in connection with the acquisition of Curzon Cinemas, composed of the cinema business, Artificial Eye distribution arm, and Curzon Home Cinema streaming platform
  • Crossroads Live, Inc. on various investments into live entertainment assets
  • An Asian investor in connection with its investment in a major music and audio platform
  • Siemens AG on the combination of its mobility business in a merger of equals with Alstom SA

  • FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan), the Italian football club, on the extension of its Nike partnership. The 25-year partnership is one of the longest and most successful in European football
  • TeamViewer on its official partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team
  • TeamViewer on its five-year agreement to become Manchester United's new principal shirt sponsor
