Pedro Eraso is a finance associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.
Mr. Eraso represents financial institutions, institutional investors, public companies, sovereign governments, asset managers, sponsors and developers in domestic and cross-border transactions, including securitizations, project finance, capital market offerings, private placements, syndicated bank credit facilities, and lease financing.
Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Eraso was a corporate and securities associate at an AmLaw 100 law firm in Chicago. While in law school in Bogotá, Colombia, he was an assistant professor of banking contracts and financial law and a leading researcher for the Sixth Edition of the treatise Contratos Bancarios en America Latina (Banking Contracts in Latin America) published by Legis Press, Bogotá, 2009.
Mr. Eraso is active in pro bono initiatives and has represented asylum seekers in the United States.
