Oliver Bretton is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.

Mr. Bretton advises on a wide range of restructuring matters (non-contentious and contentious and in-court and out-of-court), refinancings, distressed and solvent corporate acquisitions, distressed loan portfolio sales and distressed investing, formal insolvency procedures (domestic and cross-border), corporate governance issues, and contingency planning. He also regularly undertakes restructuring and insolvency advisory work, including formulating and executing cross-border enforcement and debt recovery strategies. He acts on the lender side (including for UK clearing banks, US investment banks, private equity firms, and funds), and on the debtor side (including for boards of directors, shareholders, and sponsors), as well as for insolvency officeholders and practitioners.
