Mitzi Miranda is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.
Ms. Miranda primarily advises clients within the healthcare industry regarding government investigations, internal investigations, and litigation arising under the False Claims Act (FCA), Federal Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and Stark Law. Ms. Miranda also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Ms. Miranda graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law and earned an award for the highest cumulative grade point average in her class.
While in law school, Ms. Miranda served as a judicial extern for Judge Cynthia A. Bashant and Magistrate Judge William V. Gallo of the US District Court for the Southern District of California. Ms. Miranda also served as a comments editor for the San Diego Law Review.
