Melanie Emmen is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice. She primarily handles international capital markets transactions, with an emphasis on high yield transactions.

Ms. Emmen advises private equity sponsors, companies, and investment banks in public and private debt issuances and acquisition financings, with particular emphasis on European and emerging market companies.

Prior to joining the firm, she ran women's health programs in sub-Saharan Africa.

  • The dealer managers in connection with the offer to exchange €1.385 billion of Stada’s outstanding 3.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2024 for €1.385 billion of its new 7.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2026
  • Intrum AB in its offering of €800 million 3.5% Senior Notes due 2026 and its offering of €850 million 3% Senior Notes due 2027
  • The initial purchasers in connection with multiple offerings of Senior Secured Notes by Nidda Healthcare Holding
  • The initial purchasers in connection with multiple offerings of Senior Notes by Virgin Media Finance PLC
