Marie Vialle is an associate in the Paris office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice. Ms. Vialle advises clients on EU and French competition and regulatory law.

Ms. Vialle represents international companies before the European Commission (EC) and the French Competition Authority (FCA) in merger control proceedings, antitrust investigations and litigation, and coordinates multijurisdictional merger filings for global transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Vialle worked in French and international law firms, at the French Competition Authority, as well as in the legal departments of CAC 40 companies. Ms. Vialle holds a Doctorate in law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, relating to “Public anti-competitive measures and European Union law."

Ms. Vialle’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Bunge Limited in obtaining FDI approvals for its US$34 billion merger with Viterra
  • Teleperformance in obtaining global merger control clearances for its €3.3 billion acquisition of Majorel
  • A French company in its response of a sector enquiry by the French Competition Authority regarding terrestrial transportation of passengers
