Luke Barratt is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Barratt represents lenders, financial institutions, underwriting banks, investors, financial sponsors, and corporate borrowers on a broad range of cross-border leveraged finance transactions.

He advises clients on a variety of transactions across the syndicated loan and private credit markets, and is experienced in a wide spectrum of financing products across the capital structure, including term loan B facilities, first lien / second lien facilities, Holdco PIK facilities, unitranche facilities, and bank/bond transactions.

Mr. Barratt's experience includes advising:

  • The underwriters and the private capital providers on the financing for Cinven’s takeover offer to acquire German-listed company Synlab*
  • The private capital providers on the refinancing of Iris Sofrware’s (an HG portfolio company) existing unitranche facility*
  • The underwriters and arrangers in connection with the €1,035 billion refinancing of the Go-Ahead Group’s debt facilities*
  • DigitalBridge on a US$335 million on a hybrid capital call / NAV facility*
  • The private capital providers on a £265,000,000 unitranche facility for the purposes of refinancing the QA Group’s (a CVC portfolio company) existing facilities*
  • The arrangers on the refinancing of Viridor (a KKR portfolio company)*
