Jose Barragan-Monge is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the firm’s Finance Department.

Mr. Barragan-Monge represents both institutional lenders and corporate borrowers on secured credit facilities, acquisition financing, and other financial matters. As part of his active pro bono practice, Mr. Barragan-Monge works closely with community nonprofit organizations assisting low-income tenants respond to eviction lawsuits.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Barragan-Monge worked at an international law firm where he represented private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in complex debt financing transactions including secured and unsecured financings, restructurings, and debtor-in-possession and exit financings.

Mr. Barragan-Monge received his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Barragan-Monge was an editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal
