Jessie Michelin is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Prior to joining full-time, Ms. Michelin was a summer associate in the firm’s New York office.

During law school, Ms. Michelin served on the Editorial Board for the Virginia Journal of International Law and was a member of the J.B. Moore International Law Society. She was also a Virginia Law Ambassador, in which she acted as a liaison between prospective students and the Admissions Office. Ms. Michelin participated in the 2018 Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Her team was Runner-Up in the regional competition and continued on to the international competition.

In her third year of law school, Ms. Michelin participated in the University of Virginia’s International Human Rights Law Clinic, which partnered with a Colombian-based non-governmental organization to address a prevalent human rights issue in Venezuela: the right to health.

In 2017, she was a summer intern at the National Security Section of the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. As an intern, Ms. Michelin researched and drafted memoranda analyzing various legal issues related to national security litigation, and she assisted with trial preparation.
