James Sullivan is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Mr. Sullivan advises on capital markets, general securities, and corporate matters. He has experience representing financial institutions, private equity firms, and issuers on a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including private credit solutions, high-yield debt offerings, initial public offerings, and secondary equity offerings. 

Mr. Sullivan was previously seconded to BofA Securities, where he advised on a broad array of equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions.

While attending American University Washington College of Law, Mr. Sullivan served as senior symposium editor of Volume 69 of the American University Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Sullivan also won “Best Closing Argument” at the 2019 National Civil Trial Competition and was part of the championship team at the 2019 South Texas Mock Trial Challenge.
