Hafza Hussein is an associate in the Riyadh office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.  

Ms. Hussein advises financial institutions, corporates, private equity sponsors, bondholders, and other stakeholders on a broad range of restructuring and special situations-related matters.

Ms. Hussein trained in the firm’s London office, gaining broad experience in corporate, restructuring and special situations, project finance, and acquisition and leveraged finance transactions. 

Ms. Hussein’s experience includes advising:

  • Eleusis, psychedelic science and medicine company, on their US$446 million merger with Silver Spike Acquisition Corp. II, a publicly traded SPAC sponsored by an affiliate of Silver Spike Capital
  • Mesoblast, developer of stem cell medicines for inflammatory diseases, on the refinancing and expansion of its senior debt facility with Oaktree Capital
  • The senior creditors committee in relation to the  c. £200 million debt and equity restructuring of FatFace, a UK headquartered apparel retail business
  • The creditors committee in relation to the €1.9 billion debt and equity restructuring of Selecta, a Swiss headquartered pan-European coffee and vending machine business
  • The senior creditors committee in relation to the €410 million debt and equity restructuring of Curaeos, a Dutch headquartered pan-European dental clinics business
