Gary DePalo is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.
Mr. DePalo represents private equity firms, investment banks, and public and private companies in a wide range of capital markets transactions, including:
- Initial public offerings
- Follow-on and secondary equity offerings
- High-yield and investment grade bond offerings
- Cross-border transactions
- Capital restructuring transactions, including tender and exchange offers
- Special purpose acquisition company transactions
Mr. DePalo also advises clients across various industries and regions on corporate governance, securities regulation, and stock exchange-related matters.
Mr. DePalo maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in wills and estates matters through the Legal Counsel for the Elderly.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. DePalo worked as an intern in the Division of Enforcement of the SEC. Mr. DePalo earned his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as senior notes editor for the Georgetown Journal for Legal Ethics.
