Fitsum Tilahun is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Finance Department and the Private Equity Finance Practice.

Mr. Tilahun represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as private and public company borrowers in structuring and documenting secured and unsecured credit facilities and other financing transactions, including acquisition financings, cross-border financings, direct lender and clubbed credit facilities and syndicated facilities. 

Mr. Tilahun has experience in advising public companies and boards of directors on compliance and corporate governance matters, including general corporate and securities counseling and preparing and reviewing documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Tilahun was an associate at a large law firm, and previously spent several years as an in-house counsel at a Fortune 100 corporation.
