Elizaveta Bacheyeva is counsel in the Bay Area offices of Latham & Watkins.

She specializes in various financing transactions such as syndicated lending, project and real estate finance, as well as securitizations and structured finance and financial restructurings. Ms. Bacheyeva has extensive experience representing both arrangers and borrowers in complex cross-border transactions and advising on different aspects of financial and bank regulation. 

Ms. Bacheyeva’s representative experience includes advising:

  • HSBC, Unicredit, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, Banca Intesa, and other global banks on a range of financing transactions across the CIS region
  • Lenders in respect of a project finance transaction for the development of “Korbalikha” Zn-Cu-Pb Mine construction and renovation 
  • Borrower in connection with a loan facility provided by Credit Suisse SBLC
  • Lender in relation to project financing in connection with the reconstruction of Zainsk power plant 
  • Various international banks on a number of pre-payment facilities arranged for EU crude oil and oil product traders
  • Major metallurgical plant in respect of the term loan facility provided by ING Bank 
  • Creditors’ group in relation to Mechel’s debt restructuring
  • Financial institution in relation to enforcement efforts against a high-profile businessman following the collapse of his property empire
  • Air Liquide in relation to hedging transaction
  • International creditors of Mriya Agricultural Group in Ukraine
  • Regional telecom company in connection with acquisition (and associated acquisition financing) of a major telecom provider
  • Creditors’ Committee in restructuring of US$480 million public debt of an international property group

  • Raiffeisen Bank in relation to a mortgage securitization for Raiffeisen Bank Russia
