Daniel Gocek is a tax associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice.
Mr. Gocek advises privately held and publicly traded companies regarding executive compensation, employment, and employee benefit issues arising in corporate transactions. He evaluates fact patterns and benefit plans for compliance with relevant statutes and regulations, including the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act. He also counsels clients in the creation, administration, and termination of qualified retirement plans and welfare benefit plans.
Mr. Gocek maintains a robust pro bono practice, providing corporate and tax guidance to registered non-profits. He joined the firm in 2019 after working in the Chicago office of another leading law firm.
