Dalton Downing is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, where he was previously a summer associate before joining Latham full-time.

Mr. Downing received his JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law where he received the 2018 Martin Fellows Smith Award for Most Outstanding Graduate. Mr. Downing placed first in the 2018 National Securities Law Writing Competition, Association of Securities & Exchange Commission Alumni. While attending the University of Tulsa, Mr. Downing was the editor in chief for the Tulsa Law Review. Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Downing was a judicial extern for Judge Stephanie K. Seymour of the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Mr. Downing graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, concentrating on agribusiness with a pre-law emphasis. Mr. Downing received the Senior of Significance Award, presented to 1% of the graduating class.
