Cort Thompson is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Thompson advises private fund sponsors in the formation, structuring, marketing, and operation of private investment funds. His experience includes fundraisings, co-investments, and secondary transactions. 

Mr. Thompson maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking asylum, with a particular focus on assisting Afghan refugees.

Mr. Thompson retired from the U.S. Army, having served as a member of both the Military Intelligence and Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
