Chuan Hong Foo is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Finance Department.

Mr. Foo advises sponsors, corporate borrowers, banks, funds and other financial institutions across a broad range of financing transactions, with a particular focus on the infrastructure sector.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Foo practiced in a Magic Circle firm in London.

Mr. Foo’s experience includes advising:

  • A leading investment management firm in relation to extending £400 million of long-term debt financing to an infrastructure fund in relation to its acquisition of highway infrastructure assets across the UK
  • The syndicate of lenders in relation to the €1.5 billion financing of the 49% acquisition of a multinational telecoms company’s Finnish and Swedish tower business (and subsequent bond take-out)
  • The syndicate of lenders in relation to the refinancing of a Scandinavian ferry company’s existing debt arrangements
  • The syndicate of lenders in relation to the platform refinancing of a national connections adoptions company’s existing debt arrangements
  • A global infrastructure fund on its €155 million senior facilities agreement in connection with its acquisition of German healthcare infrastructure assets
  • The syndicate of lenders in relation to a platform financing extended to a multinational fibre business
  • A global healthcare company on its financing arrangements in connection with its US$4 billion acquisition of a gene therapy company*
  • A global facilities management company on its €500 million senior facilities agreement in connection with the acquisition of Turkish hospital assets and its related joint venture with a leading private equity firm*
  • A multinational oil and petrochemicals producer on the procurement of £160 million mixed facilities in connection with the financing of its North Sea assets*
  • An asset management firm in connection with the financing of its €1.3 billion LBO of a leading chemicals manufacturer*
  • A global healthcare company on its establishment of a US$5 billion EMTN Program*
  • A global investment bank on the extending of NAV financing arrangements to a range of private equity funds*
