Dr. Christian Steger is an associate in the Hamburg office of Latham & Watkins. He practices in the Litigation & Trial Department and is a member of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice.

Mr. Steger advises both German and international companies in all areas of dispute resolution, especially in commercial arbitration and complex commercial litigations. His practice also includes white collar and internal investigations.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Steger gained professional experience while working for an international commercial law firm in Frankfurt, focusing on dispute resolution. Mr. Steger also worked for the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai, India, where his daily business involved commercial disputes in the Indo-German business. Mr. Steger wrote a PhD-thesis on enforcement in international arbitration and was a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. He has been involved in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Mr. Steger regularly lectured on International Commercial Arbitration and Oral Advocacy, amongst others at the China-EU School of Law in Beijing, China.

Mr. Steger is a member of the DIS40 and Vis Moot Court Alumni Association of the University of Hamburg.
