    Profile

    Brett Neve is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Finance Department.

    Mr. Neve focuses his practice on corporate restructuring and insolvency matters. He has represented a variety of stakeholders, including debtors, creditors, investors, and professionals in all facets of restructuring matters across an array of industries and sectors.

    Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Neve was an associate at a leading international law firm.

    Following law school, Mr. Neve clerked for Judge William J. Lafferty III of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.

    Experience

    Mr. Neve’s experience includes representing:

    • The joint liquidators of Three Arrows Capital, Ltd in their liquidation proceedings and chapter 15 cases in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York
    • Lloyds Bank plc as administrative agent under a super-senior revolving credit facility in the restructuring of Carlson Travel, Inc.
    • Barclays Bank PLC as first lien agent in Hertz Global Holding’s chapter 11 cases (Turnaround of the Year (Mega +US$5 billion) by Global M&A Network)  
    • Lonestar Resources US Inc. and its affiliates in their chapter 11 cases in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas 
    • Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. as administrative agent under a first lien credit facility in the restructuring of Longview Power, LLC 
    • Citibank, N.A., as administrative and collateral agent under a first lien credit facility and as DIP agent in the restructuring of Grizzly Energy, LLC (f/k/a Vanguard Natural Resources, LLC) 
    • Alta Mesa Resources, Inc. and its affiliates in their chapter 11 cases in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas and restructuring more than US$1.1 billion in liabilities 
    • Ad hoc group of first lien lenders in the UK restructuring of Doncasters Group and the related chapter 15 cases in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York 
    • Second lien lender and plan sponsor in the Legacy Reserve chapter 11 cases  
    • Puerto Rico’s Fiscal Agency and Financial Advisory Authority in the restructuring of debt obligations of Puerto Rico and its instrumentalities, including the completed restructuring COFINA*

    A cross-border team advised on the restructuring consummated through an extraordinary one-day prepackaged Chapter 11 case under which the revolving lenders received a full recovery.
