Aisha Babalakin is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ London office, and a member of the firm’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice.

Ms. Babalakin advises clients in the entertainment, sports, and media sector on corporate and financing transactions, with a particular focus on regulatory matters and M&A.

Ms. Babalakin’s experience includes advising:

  • Raine Partners on its minority investment in Castore, a premium UK sportswear brand and technology-enabled, end-to-end digital platform for global sports teams
  • TWG Global and Billie Jean King Enterprises in a joint venture with the International Tennis Federation to create a new partnership for the Billie Jean King Cup, the women’s World Cup of Tennis
  • The Walt Disney Company on the unwind of the sale and leaseback of the feature film, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” [2005]
  • The consortium led by Todd Boehly, chairman and CEO of Eldridge, and Clearlake Capital Group, on its acquisition of Chelsea Football Club
  • SESAC in relation to the reorganization and subsequent securitization of certain SESAC licensed music rights entities, including the Audio Network group
  • IMG Arena, a subsidiary of Endeavor Operating Company, on its acquisition of Leap Gaming, a Malta-based virtual sports and casino games provider
  • Shift4 Payments on its acquisition of Credorax (dba Finaro), a cross-border eCommerce payments provider 
  • Darktrace plc in connection with its £1.7 billion initial public offering and listing on the London Stock Exchange
